- Wash and dry the apples thoroughly. Cut each apple into bite-sized wedges, removing the core and seeds. 
- In a microwave-safe bowl, heat the caramel sauce in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth and melted. 
- Dip each apple wedge into the caramel sauce, allowing any excess to drip off. Place the coated wedges on a parchment-lined baking sheet. 
- In another microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips and coconut oil (if using). Heat in 30-second intervals, stirring until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth. 
- Drizzle the melted chocolate over the caramel-coated apple wedges. You can also dip the wedges into the chocolate if you prefer a thicker coating. 
- While the chocolate is still warm, sprinkle the chopped nuts and sea salt over the apple bites. 
- Refrigerate the apple bites for at least 30 minutes to allow the caramel and chocolate to set before serving.
