Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked chicken shredded
  • 3 cups broccoli florets steamed
  • 1 cup cooked rice white or brown
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup cream of chicken soup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs optional
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil optional

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, steamed broccoli, cooked rice, cheddar cheese, cream of chicken soup, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly coated.
  3. Transfer the mixture into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish, spreading it out evenly. If using breadcrumbs, mix them with olive oil and sprinkle over the top of the casserole for added crunch.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the casserole is bubbly and the top is golden brown.
  5. Let the casserole cool for about 5 minutes before serving to allow it to set for easier slicing.

  • To customize, try adding different vegetables like bell peppers or peas, or swap the cheddar cheese for mozzarella for a different flavor profile.
