  • 0.5 cup Unsweetened Dark Cocoa Powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Cornstarch optional
  • 0.5 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 0.25 teaspoon Salt optional

  • 1 cup Nuts chopped walnuts or pecans

Method
 

Baking Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cream unsalted butter and brown sugar in a large bowl for about 2 minutes.
  3. Add the egg and vanilla extract, beating until fully combined.
  4. Sift together flour, cocoa powder, cornstarch, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl.
  5. Combine the dry mixture with the wet ingredients until just incorporated.
  6. Scoop tablespoon-sized dough portions onto the baking sheet, spacing them 2 inches apart.
  7. Bake for 8–10 minutes until the edges are set and the centers look slightly underdone.
  8. Allow to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  9. Let the cookies cool completely on the rack before serving.
