Ingredients

  • 2 ripe bananas mashed
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8x8-inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the mashed bananas, Greek yogurt, honey, and vanilla extract. Mix until well blended.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the rolled oats, flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the batter.
  6. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Allow the bars to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then lift them out using the parchment paper and let them cool completely on a wire rack.
  9. Once cooled, cut into squares and serve.
