Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Drain the canned tuna thoroughly. In a mixing bowl, combine the drained tuna with cottage cheese, breaking up the tuna into smaller pieces.
  2. Crack an egg into the mixture, then add chopped green onions, parsley, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Stir until well-combined.
  3. Gradually add panko breadcrumbs, folding them in until the mixture is cohesive.
  4. Shape the mixture into patties about 2½ inches wide.
  5. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Fry the patties for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  6. For baking, preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Bake the patties for 15-18 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  7. Serve warm with lemon-dill yogurt or sriracha mayo.
