  • 1 cup Corn fresh or frozen
  • 1 can Diced Tomatoes canned for convenience
  • 2 tbsp Tomato Paste use extra for a thicker chili
  • 2 cups Beef Broth or vegetable broth for vegetarian version
For the Aromatics
  • 1 medium Onion or shallots for milder taste
  • 2 cloves Garlic fresh is best; powdered can be used
For the Spice Lovers
  • 2 tbsp Chili Powder adjust to taste
  • 1 tsp Cumin
  • 1 tsp Paprika adjust to taste

Cooking Steps
  1. In a large skillet set over medium heat, add the ground beef and brown it for about 7 to 10 minutes. Drain any excess grease.
  2. Transfer the browned ground beef to your Crockpot. Add the black beans, corn, diced tomatoes, tomato paste, and beef broth.
  3. Stir in the chopped onion, minced garlic, and spices. Mix well to combine.
  4. Cover the Crockpot and set it to cook on low for 6 to 8 hours or on high for about 4 hours.
  5. Stir well once the cooking time is complete, then serve with your favorite garnishes.
