Cooking Steps
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Reserve ½ cup pasta water, then drain.
- Pat chicken dry, season with salt and pepper. In a skillet, melt 1 tablespoon butter over medium-high heat. Sear chicken for 3-4 minutes on each side until cooked through. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, reduce the heat and add the remaining butter. Sauté minced garlic and red pepper flakes for 30-60 seconds until fragrant.
- Pour in chicken broth to deglaze, scraping up any browned bits for added flavor.
- Stir in heavy cream and Italian seasoning, simmer for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Whisk in Parmesan until smooth, then return chicken and pasta to the skillet, tossing to combine. Adjust consistency with reserved pasta water if too thick.
- Taste and adjust seasoning. Garnish with parsley and serve warm.
