Ingredients

For the Chicken

For the Pasta
  • 8 ounces Fusilli, Penne, or Rotini Gluten-free pasta can be used.
For the Sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Unsalted Butter Adds richness and depth to the sauce.
  • 3 cloves Fresh Garlic Mince finely for even distribution.
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream Can replace with half-and-half for a lighter option.
  • 1 cup Chicken Broth Homemade or store-bought works well.
  • 1/2 cup Freshly Grated Parmesan Cheese Avoid pre-shredded for best melt quality.
  • 1 teaspoon Italian Seasoning Adds herby flavor to elevate the dish.
  • 1 teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes Optional for mild spice.
  • Salt To taste.
  • Black Pepper To taste.
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh Parsley For garnish.

Equipment

  • Large Pot
  • skillet
  • measuring cups
  • Measuring spoons
  • spatula

Method

Cooking Steps
  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Reserve ½ cup pasta water, then drain.
  2. Pat chicken dry, season with salt and pepper. In a skillet, melt 1 tablespoon butter over medium-high heat. Sear chicken for 3-4 minutes on each side until cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, reduce the heat and add the remaining butter. Sauté minced garlic and red pepper flakes for 30-60 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Pour in chicken broth to deglaze, scraping up any browned bits for added flavor.
  5. Stir in heavy cream and Italian seasoning, simmer for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  6. Whisk in Parmesan until smooth, then return chicken and pasta to the skillet, tossing to combine. Adjust consistency with reserved pasta water if too thick.
  7. Taste and adjust seasoning. Garnish with parsley and serve warm.
