Preparation Steps
- In a mixing bowl, add ½ cup of mayonnaise, yogurt, or buttermilk. Whisk together until smooth and creamy.
- Gradually mix in ½ cup of freshly grated Parmesan cheese, stirring continuously until fully incorporated.
- Add 1 to 2 teaspoons of freshly cracked black pepper, stir well, and taste, adjusting the pepper according to preference.
- Introduce 1 to 2 tablespoons of vinegar or fresh lemon juice, stirring as you add while tasting after each tablespoon.
- Mix in 1 clove of minced garlic and 1 teaspoon of Dijon mustard, stirring until evenly distributed.
- Taste again and add a pinch of salt if necessary, stirring well.
- Transfer dressing to an airtight container and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.
