Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Start by rinsing fresh green beans thoroughly under cold water, then dry them completely with a clean towel.
  2. If you're using frozen green beans, allow them to thaw.
  3. For fresh beans, consider blanching them in boiling water for 2-3 minutes. Plunge them into ice water to stop cooking.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, drizzle melted coconut oil or olive oil over the green beans, tossing to coat.
  5. Sprinkle salt and nutritional yeast over the beans, mixing thoroughly.
  6. Spread beans on parchment-lined baking sheet or dehydrator trays.
  7. Bake at 200°F for 1 hour and 15 minutes, tossing halfway through, or dehydrate at 125°F for 10-12 hours.
  8. Keep an eye on the chips towards the end; they're done when crunchy and golden.
  9. Remove from heat, cool completely on the baking sheet, then store in an airtight container.
