Method

  3. Mix one egg with a splash of milk to create an egg wash.
  4. Layer ham and cheese on a square of pastry, add mustard if desired, season, and top with another square. Seal with fork.
  5. Brush the tops of each stack with egg wash.
  6. Place on the baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden and puffed.
