Step-by-Step Instructions for Cheesy Christmas Tree Bread
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Unroll the refrigerated pizza dough and slice it into 30 equal squares (about 3 inches each).
  3. Cut the mozzarella cheese sticks into 30 bite-sized pieces, about 1 inch long.
  4. Place a piece of mozzarella cheese in the center of each dough square and fold the dough over the cheese to form sealed balls.
  5. Arrange the dough balls on the baking sheet in a Christmas tree shape, ensuring they touch but do not overlap.
  6. Whisk together the egg and a tablespoon of water, then brush the mixture over each dough ball.
  7. Bake the assembled bread for 16-18 minutes until golden brown and puffed.
  8. Melt the butter and mix in half of the grated Parmesan cheese, garlic, and herbs, then baste this mixture over the warm bread after baking.
