  • 12 pieces Sour Patch Kids
  • 12 pieces Mini Umbrellas

Method
 

Cupcake Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake tin with liners. Prepare the cake mix according to package instructions, mix in eggs, water, and vegetable oil. Pour batter into liners filling 2/3 full. Bake for 18-22 minutes.
  2. Allow cupcakes to cool completely on a wire rack.
Frosting Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine softened butter, powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract. Beat on medium speed until light and fluffy, about 3-5 minutes.
  2. Once cooled, frost each cupcake generously.
Decoration
  1. Sprinkle crushed graham crackers over frosted cupcakes for a sandy effect.
  2. Add a rectangle of Air Heads candy to each cupcake for a beach towel look. Press a Sour Patch Kid onto each towel.
  3. Insert mini umbrellas, scatter gumballs, and cut Pez candies into flip flop shapes for decoration.
