Making the Dessert
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the strawberry Jell-O mix and 1 cup of hot water until fully dissolved, which should take about 2-3 minutes. Once dissolved, add ½ cup of cold water and stir well. Cover and refrigerate for approximately 30 minutes until slightly thickened.
- After the Jell-O has thickened, remove from the refrigerator and stir in the instant vanilla pudding mix until smooth, about 2-3 minutes. Refrigerate for another 30 minutes to allow it to set.
- Once the pudding mixture is set, gently fold in the whipped topping using a spatula until the mixture is smooth and airy.
- Fold in the sliced fresh strawberries, drained crushed pineapple, and mini marshmallows until evenly distributed throughout the mixture.
- Transfer the mixture to a serving bowl or individual cups, cover tightly, and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to meld the flavors and firm up.
- Once chilled, serve in individual dishes or a large platter. Garnish with additional fresh strawberries if desired.
