  • 1 bag Doritos Experiment with different chip flavors.
For the Dressing (optional)
  • 1 cup Dressing Ranch or salsa-based dressing recommended.

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a large skillet, heat a tablespoon of oil over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook for about 6-8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until fully browned and no longer pink. Drain any excess fat.
  2. Once the protein is browned, sprinkle in the taco seasoning and add about 1/4 cup of water. Stir to combine and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes until it thickens.
  3. While the meat cooks, wash and chop the iceberg lettuce, dice the tomatoes, and slice the red onion. Arrange the veggies in a large mixing bowl.
  4. Allow the meat to cool slightly, then layer the salad starting with lettuce, followed by the cooked protein, tomatoes, and onions.
  5. Crush a handful of Doritos and sprinkle on top just before serving for an irresistible crunch.
  6. Drizzle your favorite dressing over the salad and gently toss with tongs to combine without crushing the Doritos. Serve immediately.
