  • 2 oz fresh pomegranate juice fresh juice is preferred for optimal flavor
  • 2 oz reposado tequila choose quality reposado tequila for the best taste
  • 3/4 oz triple sec or Grand Marnier can be swapped with any orange liqueur based on preference
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup honey or agave syrup can be alternatives but will alter flavor
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon consider using ground cinnamon or cinnamon sticks for garnish
  • 1 oz lime juice freshly squeezed lime juice works best
For the Glass Rimming
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon-sugar mixture rimming the glass adds a delightful touch

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Begin by rimming your cocktail glass with lime juice, then roll in cinnamon-sugar mixture until fully coated.
  2. In a cocktail shaker, combine fresh pomegranate juice, reposado tequila, triple sec or Grand Marnier, and maple syrup.
  3. Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds until chilled.
  4. Strain the cocktail into the prepared glass over fresh ice.
  5. Garnish with a slice of candied lemon or sprinkle extra cinnamon on top if desired.
