Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a bowl, combine flour, sugar, and salt. In another bowl, whisk eggs, melted butter, milk, and vanilla. Combine wet and dry ingredients, mix, pour into pans, and bake for 30-35 minutes.
  2. While cooling, prepare frosting by beating butter until fluffy, adding powdered sugar and heavy cream gradually until smooth. Frost cooled cake layers.
  3. Level cake layers with a serrated knife, stack with frosting, apply a thin layer outside, and refrigerate for 1 hour.
  4. Bloom gelatin in cold water per instructions. Heat glucose, water, and cream until hot but not boiling. Combine with dissolved gelatin. Cool to 90-95°F.
  5. Divide cool glaze into bowls, add food coloring, and mix for galaxy colors. Get creative!
  6. Pour colored glaze at cake's center, letting it flow to the edges for an even coverage. Allow excess glaze to drip off.
  7. Before glaze sets, swirl colors with a toothpick and sprinkle edible glitter. Let set for 30 minutes before serving.
