Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a medium saucepan, combine water, honey or maple syrup, molasses, sliced ginger, and cinnamon sticks. Bring to a gentle boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally, then simmer for 3-5 minutes. Stir in vanilla extract and let cool before straining.
  2. Prepare your rocks glass by optionally rimming with cinnamon sugar. Dip the rim into the gingerbread syrup and then into cinnamon sugar.
  3. Fill the prepared glass with ice cubes. Pour in vodka, coffee liqueur, and gingerbread syrup. Stir gently with a bar spoon.
  4. Layer cream on top by slowly pouring it over the back of a spoon to create a layered effect.
  5. Garnish with a sprinkle of ground cinnamon and a mini gingerbread cookie. Serve and enjoy!
