In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Once melted, stir in the corn syrup, vanilla extract, and salt. Bring the mixture to a gentle boil, stirring constantly, and let it boil for 1 minute.
Remove the saucepan from heat and immediately stir in the mini marshmallows and chocolate chips until they are melted and well combined.
In a large mixing bowl, pour the Golden Grahams cereal. Pour the melted mixture over the cereal and gently fold until all the cereal is coated.
Lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish with cooking spray or butter. Pour the cereal mixture into the dish and press it down evenly with a spatula or your hands.
Allow the treats to cool at room temperature for about 30 minutes before cutting them into squares.
