Crust
  • 2 crusts Pie Crusts Store-bought for convenience or homemade.
  • 1 large Egg For wash, omit if vegan.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and press one pie crust into a pie plate.
  2. In a skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned for about 5–7 minutes. Drain fat and add onions, garlic, and carrots.
  3. Sprinkle in flour, stir well, then add beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, simmer for 10 minutes until thick.
  4. Season the thickened filling with salt, pepper, and thyme to taste, ensuring even distribution.
  5. Pour the filling into the pie crust and cover with the second crust, crimp edges to seal and cut slits on top.
  6. Brush the top crust with beaten egg for a golden finish.
  7. Bake for 30–35 minutes until golden brown, keep an eye on the edges and cover with foil if necessary.
  8. Let the pie cool for about 10 minutes, then slice and serve warm.
