Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and press one pie crust into a pie plate.
- In a skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned for about 5–7 minutes. Drain fat and add onions, garlic, and carrots.

- Season the thickened filling with salt, pepper, and thyme to taste, ensuring even distribution.
- Pour the filling into the pie crust and cover with the second crust, crimp edges to seal and cut slits on top.
- Brush the top crust with beaten egg for a golden finish.
- Bake for 30–35 minutes until golden brown, keep an eye on the edges and cover with foil if necessary.
- Let the pie cool for about 10 minutes, then slice and serve warm.
