Make the Vinaigrette
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the vinaigrette ingredients until emulsified and slightly thickened.
Prepare the Salad Ingredients
- Coarsely chop the fresh herbs and tear the fancy lettuce into pieces. Thinly slice the red onion and chives, and chop the Persian cucumber into bite-sized medallions.
Combine Ingredients
- In a large mixing bowl, gently toss the lettuce, herbs, red onion, chives, and cucumber. Peel and segment the orange or tangerine and add pieces to the mix.
Dress the Salad
- Drizzle the vinaigrette over the salad mixture, starting with half and adding more to taste. Toss gently to coat everything.
Serve
- Transfer the salad to a serving platter and sprinkle with pralines or almond slivers. Enjoy immediately or let chill for 15 minutes.
