  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9-inch springform pan by greasing it.
  2. Melt ½ cup of unsalted butter in a saucepan, stir in 1 cup of granulated sugar, then mix in 2 large eggs and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Sift in the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Pour into the pan and bake for 25-30 minutes.
