Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together 4 large eggs and 1 cup of half and half until smooth. Add 1 teaspoon of pure vanilla extract, ½ teaspoon of cinnamon, 2 tablespoons of brown sugar, and a pinch of salt. Mix thoroughly.
  2. Poke holes in each of the 4 King’s Hawaiian Rolls to allow custard to soak in properly.
  3. Gently dip each Hawaiian Roll into the custard mixture, soaking for about 30 seconds on each side, then place on a plate.
  4. Melt 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter in a large nonstick skillet over medium-low heat.
  5. Cook the soaked Hawaiian Rolls in the skillet for about 30 to 60 seconds on each side until golden brown.
  6. Serve with powdered sugar, fresh seasonal berries, and a drizzle of maple syrup.
