- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9x13-inch baking dish by greasing it lightly.
- In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth and creamy.
- Evenly spread the strawberry pie filling across the bottom of your prepared baking dish. Layer fresh, sliced strawberries on top.
- Pour the cream cheese mixture directly over the strawberries, spreading it evenly.
- In another bowl, mix the yellow cake mix, melted butter, and milk until just combined. Pour over the cream cheese layer.
- If using cinnamon, sprinkle it lightly over the cake mix layer.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes until the top is golden brown and bubbly.
- Allow to cool for 15-20 minutes before serving to let the layers set.
