  • 2 Tbsp Melted Butter
Filling
  • 1/2 lb Corned Beef Savory filling
  • 6 slices Swiss Cheese
  • 3/4 cup Sauerkraut Rinse and drain
  • 1/4 cup Mayonnaise Acts as a binder
Seasoning
  • Kosher Salt To taste
  • Caraway Seeds Optional
  • 1 Tbsp Ketchup For sweetness
  • 1 Tbsp Horseradish Adjust for spice level
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire Sauce For umami flavor
  • 1 tsp Granulated Sugar To balance acidity
  • 1/4 tsp Paprika Enhances color
  • Freshly Ground Black Pepper To taste

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Lightly spray a 9x13-inch baking dish with cooking spray. Unroll one tube of refrigerated crescent rolls and lay the dough evenly across the bottom.
  3. Parbake the crust for about 10 minutes until it is lightly golden.
  4. Layer the corned beef, Swiss cheese, and sauerkraut evenly over the crust.
  5. Open the second tube of crescent rolls and cover the filling, sealing the edges by pinching the dough.
  6. Brush the top with melted butter and sprinkle with caraway seeds if desired. Bake for an additional 25 to 30 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Allow the Reuben Squares to cool for a few minutes before slicing them into squares.
