Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a stand mixer, combine softened butter, peanut butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar. Mix until creamy.
  3. Add the vanilla extract and egg, then mix until fully incorporated.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, salt, and baking soda. Gradually add to the wet mixture.
  5. Roll the dough into tablespoon-sized balls and coat with granulated sugar. Place them on the cookie sheet.
  6. Bake for 10 minutes or until golden and slightly cracked. Let cool for about 5 minutes.
  7. Transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  8. Melt the milk chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring every 15 seconds until smooth.
