Step-by-Step Instructions
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add the ground Italian pork sausage. Cook for approximately 8 minutes, using a spatula to break up the sausage as it browns. Remove it from the skillet and set it aside on a paper towel-lined plate to drain any excess fat.
- Cut wonton wrappers diagonally into triangles. In the same skillet, heat about 1 inch of vegetable or canola oil over medium-high heat until it reaches around 350°F (175°C). Fry the wonton triangles for about 1-2 minutes per side until crispy and golden brown.
- On a large baking sheet, layer the nachos starting with a generous layer of crispy wonton chips. Top with pepper jack cheese, cooked sausage crumbles, pepperoni slices, and optional pepperoncini. Sprinkle with shredded mozzarella cheese.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake the nachos for about 5 minutes, until cheese is melted and bubbling.
- Carefully remove nachos from the oven and serve hot with a small bowl of marinara sauce for dipping.
