  • 1 packet Active Dry Yeast (2 ½ tsp, 9 g)
  • 2 large Eggs at room temperature
  • 0.25 cups Melted Butter use vegan butter for dairy-free
  • 3.25 cups Gluten-Free All-Purpose Flour Cup4Cup brand recommended
  • 0.333 cups Granulated Sugar plus 1 tsp
  • 0.5 cups Potato Starch
  • 2 tablespoons Psyllium Husk Powder
  • 2 teaspoons Baking Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
For the Egg Wash
  • 1 egg Egg Wash mixed with 1 tbsp water

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 200°F and then turn it off. Line a baking sheet with greased parchment paper.
  2. Mix warm water, active dry yeast, and sugar; let sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
  3. Add room temperature eggs and melted butter to the yeast mixture and whisk until combined.
  4. Combine dry ingredients in a stand mixer and stir together until well blended.
  5. Add the yeast mixture to the dry ingredients; mix on medium speed for 6 minutes until stiff yet sticky.
  6. Divide the dough into 12-13 pieces, shape into logs, and place on the baking sheet.
  7. Cover shaped logs with greased plastic wrap and let rise in the turned-off oven for 10 minutes.
  8. Remove buns from the oven, preheat to 375°F, and let shaped buns rest for 20 minutes.
  9. Brush risen buns with egg wash and sprinkle sesame seeds on top.
  10. Bake for 16-18 minutes until golden brown and reach an internal temperature of 190°F.
  11. Cool completely before storing or serving.
