  • 1/2 cup Butter Melted; margarine can be used as a substitute.
  • 1/2 cup Granulated Sugar Adjust sweetness as preferred.
For the Creamy Mixture
  • 8 oz Cream Cheese Soften it for easier mixing.
  • 1 can Crushed Pineapple Drain thoroughly; use in juice.
  • 1 container Cool Whip Any whipped topping can be used.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a 9x13-inch baking pan with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
  2. Combine the crushed pretzels, melted butter, and 1/2 cup of granulated sugar in a medium bowl. Press into the prepared baking pan.
  3. Bake for 7 minutes until the edges are slightly golden. Cool completely on a wire rack.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with the remaining 1/2 cup of sugar until smooth.
  5. Fold in the drained crushed pineapple and Cool Whip until well combined. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
  6. Fold in the cooled pretzel mixture before serving, reserving some for garnish if desired.
