  • 4 bags black tea bags or 8 teaspoons of loose leaf tea

  • 1 cup fresh cherries pitted and halved
  • 1 inch fresh ginger peeled and sliced

Method
 

Step‑by‑Step Instructions for Cherry Ginger Iced Tea
  1. Boil 4 cups of filtered water in a medium saucepan, remove from heat and steep 4 black tea bags for 5-7 minutes. Cool at room temperature.
  2. Pit and slice 1 cup of fresh cherries and peel & slice 1-inch fresh ginger.
  3. Combine cherries and ginger with 1 cup of water in a small saucepan and simmer for 5-10 minutes. Strain and discard solids.
  4. Pour the infused mixture into the cooled tea and stir gently.
  5. Sweeten to taste with honey or sweetener, stir until dissolved.
  6. Cool the mixture in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
  7. Serve over ice cubes, optionally garnish with a lemon slice or mint.
