Step‑by‑Step Instructions for Cherry Ginger Iced Tea
- Boil 4 cups of filtered water in a medium saucepan, remove from heat and steep 4 black tea bags for 5-7 minutes. Cool at room temperature.
- Pit and slice 1 cup of fresh cherries and peel & slice 1-inch fresh ginger.
- Combine cherries and ginger with 1 cup of water in a small saucepan and simmer for 5-10 minutes. Strain and discard solids.
- Pour the infused mixture into the cooled tea and stir gently.
- Sweeten to taste with honey or sweetener, stir until dissolved.
- Cool the mixture in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
- Serve over ice cubes, optionally garnish with a lemon slice or mint.
