Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Sear the bratwurst sausages in a skillet over medium-high heat for 3-4 minutes until golden-brown. Transfer to the Crockpot.
  2. Thinly slice the onion and place it at the bottom of the Crockpot for flavor.
  3. Add the drained sauerkraut on top of the onions, rinsing if you prefer a milder taste.
  4. Sprinkle garlic powder and caraway seeds over the sauerkraut.
  5. Drizzle apple cider vinegar over the mixture, cover with the lid.
  6. Set the Crockpot on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours, checking occasionally.
  7. Serve warm with mustard and cauliflower rice or salad.
