For the Filling
  • 2 cups Diced Apples Honeycrisp or Granny Smith recommended
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon Nutmeg

  • 1/2 cup Chopped Nuts Pecans or walnuts, toasted
  • 2 tablespoons Maple Syrup Can substitute with brown sugar or honey

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cut the acorn squash in half lengthwise and scoop out seeds.

  4. Stuff the apple mixture into each squash half.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes covered with foil.
  6. Remove foil and bake for an additional 20 minutes.
  7. Let the stuffed squash rest for 10 minutes before serving.
