Step‑by‑Step Instructions for Slow Cooker Chicken Gyros
  1. Slice the yellow onion and place it evenly at the bottom of your slow cooker.
  2. Combine minced garlic, chicken broth, olive oil, dried oregano, paprika, salt, and black pepper in a medium mixing bowl and whisk until blended.
  3. Layer the boneless chicken breasts on top of the sliced onions, then pour the marinade over the chicken.
  4. Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
  5. Remove the chicken from the slow cooker, shred it, and mix with caramelized onions and juices.
  6. Warm the pita bread, fill it with the shredded chicken, and top with tzatziki sauce and fresh toppings.
