  • 1 pound Flank Steak or skirt steak or sirloin
  • 1/4 cup Soy Sauce Tamari for gluten-free
  • 2 tablespoons Brown Sugar Coconut sugar or maple syrup as alternatives
  • 2 tablespoons Sesame Oil Grapeseed oil as substitute
  • 3 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon Ginger grated
For the Rice Bowls
  • 2 cups Cooked White Rice or brown rice or cauliflower rice
  • 2 stalks Green Onions chopped, or chives or shallots as substitutes
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame Seeds omit if nut allergies exist
For the Spicy Cream Sauce
  • 1/2 cup Mayonnaise Greek yogurt as lighter version
  • 2 tablespoons Sriracha Sauce adjust amount for spice level
  • 1 tablespoon Lime Juice can substitute with lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon Honey agave syrup as vegan alternative

Method
 

Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, minced garlic, and grated ginger until the sugar is fully dissolved.
  2. Place the flank steak in a shallow dish or a zip-lock bag and pour the prepared marinade over it. Seal and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Preheat your grill or grill pan to medium-high heat, about 400°F (200°C).
  4. Remove the flank steak from the marinade and grill for 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare.
  5. Transfer the steak to a cutting board, cover loosely with aluminum foil, and let it rest for 5 minutes.
  6. In a bowl, mix together mayonnaise, sriracha sauce, lime juice, and honey until smooth and creamy.
  7. Divide the warm cooked rice among serving bowls and layer the sliced steak on top.
  8. Drizzle the spicy cream sauce over the steak and rice, and garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.
