Step-by-Step Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, thoroughly combine ground turkey, breadcrumbs, chopped green onions, fresh cilantro, minced garlic, grated ginger, soy sauce, lime juice, sesame oil, salt, and black pepper. Be gentle as you stir to avoid overmixing, which can yield tough burgers.
- Once mixed, divide the turkey mixture into four equal portions. Form each portion into uniform patties about ¾ inch thick.
- Preheat your grill or a heavy skillet over medium-high heat for about 5 minutes.
- Carefully place the formed patties onto the hot grill or skillet. Cook for 5-6 minutes on one side without moving them, until golden brown.
- Flip the patties and continue cooking for another 5-6 minutes until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F.
- While the burgers are cooking, whisk together creamy peanut butter, soy sauce, lime juice, honey, and optional sriracha in a separate bowl. Gradually add warm water until the sauce reaches a smooth consistency.
- To assemble, spread peanut sauce on the bottom of each toasted burger bun, place a patty on top, drizzle with more peanut sauce, and add fresh toppings.
- Serve immediately, alongside extra peanut sauce for dipping.
