  • 1 pound large shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes adjust to taste
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley chopped
  • Cooked rice or crusty bread for serving

Method
 

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter.
  2. Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes, sautéing for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Add the shrimp to the skillet, seasoning with salt and pepper.
  4. Cook for 2-3 minutes on one side until they turn pink, then flip and cook for another 1-2 minutes until fully cooked through.
  5. Stir in the lemon juice and zest, mixing well to combine.
  6. Remove from heat and sprinkle with fresh parsley.
  7. Serve immediately over cooked rice or with crusty bread to soak up the delicious garlic butter sauce.
