Ingredients

  • 1 pound fresh strawberries hulled
  • 1 pound angel food cake cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 cup whipped cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon powdered sugar
  • Wooden skewers 6-inch or 8-inch

Method

  1. In a medium bowl, combine the whipped cream, vanilla extract, and powdered sugar. Mix until smooth and creamy.
  2. Thread a strawberry onto a wooden skewer, followed by a cube of angel food cake. Repeat this process until the skewer is filled, leaving a little space at the end for easy handling.
  3. Continue assembling the kabobs until all ingredients are used. You can alternate the order of strawberries and cake cubes for variety.
  4. Serve the kabobs with a small bowl of the whipped cream for dipping or drizzle the whipped cream over the kabobs before serving.
  5. For best results, chill the kabobs in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes before serving.
