Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, crumble the lean ground beef, add soy sauce and hoisin sauce, cook until browned and cooked through (5–7 minutes).
  2. Fold in the shredded carrots and chopped bell peppers, sauté for 2–3 minutes until they soften slightly.
  3. Soak a rice paper wrapper in warm water for 10–15 seconds until pliable, then place it on a clean, damp surface.
  4. Position a spoonful of the beef mixture and a few basil leaves in the center of the soaked wrapper, leaving a small margin on the sides.
  5. Fold the rice paper over the filling tightly, then fold in the sides and roll up to create a neat package.
  6. Serve the freshly made rolls immediately with your choice of dipping sauce.
