For the Dumplings
  • 1 package Gyozas or Potstickers or use wontons or mandu
For the Broth
  • 1 tablespoon Vegetable Oil or sesame oil
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 inch Ginger freshly grated
  • 4 cups Chicken Broth or vegetable broth for vegetarian
  • 1 can Coconut Milk unsweetened full-fat preferred
  • 2 tablespoons Low Sodium Soy Sauce or tamari for gluten-free
  • 1 tablespoon Fish Sauce omit for vegetarian
  • 1 teaspoon Toasted Sesame Oil
  • 1 tablespoon Thai Red Curry Paste adjust to spice preference
  • 1 teaspoon Brown Sugar optional
  • 1 tablespoon Lime Juice or lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons Chopped Chives for garnish

Method
 

Cooking Instructions
  1. Boil salted water in a large pot. Cook gyozas or potstickers as per package instructions for 2-3 minutes.
  2. In a large pot, heat vegetable oil. Add garlic and ginger, stir for 30 seconds.
  3. Add chicken broth and coconut milk, stir. Add soy sauce, fish sauce, sesame oil, brown sugar, and red curry paste. Bring to a boil, then simmer for 5 minutes.
  4. Stir in lime juice and adjust seasoning. If you want more spice, add extra red curry paste.
  5. Place cooked gyozas in bowls, ladle hot soup over them, garnish with chives.
