Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan and set aside.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients: flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk together the melted butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar, eggs, apple cider, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Gradually combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients until just mixed. Do not overmix.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
Baking
- Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- While the loaf bakes, mix together the granulated sugar and cinnamon for the topping.
- Once the loaf is done, let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack.
- While the loaf is cooling, brush the top with melted butter and generously sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture over the top.
Serving
- Allow the loaf to cool completely before slicing. Serve as a delightful autumn treat.
