  • 2 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1 tsp Ground Cinnamon
  • 1 tsp Ground Nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
Wet Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter melted
  • 1 cup Brown Sugar packed
  • 1/2 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 1 cup Apple Cider not spiced
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
Cinnamon Sugar Topping
  • 1/4 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 tbsp Ground Cinnamon

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan and set aside.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients: flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the melted butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar, eggs, apple cider, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Gradually combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients until just mixed. Do not overmix.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  2. While the loaf bakes, mix together the granulated sugar and cinnamon for the topping.
  3. Once the loaf is done, let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack.
  4. While the loaf is cooling, brush the top with melted butter and generously sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture over the top.
Serving
  1. Allow the loaf to cool completely before slicing. Serve as a delightful autumn treat.
